Description
This is a percussion-primed cartridge incorporating a fragmentation, high explosive-incendiary (Frag HEI) projectile. The projectile contains a setback and centrifugally armed, impact fired, graze sensitive, point detonating self destroying A-670M fuze. The self destroying feature is a setback initiated pyrotechnic delay powder train. It is believed that the cartridge is used with the 30 millimeter automatic cannon on the BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle.
The cartridge case is anodized with a dark color. The projectile body has a black phosphate finish. The fuze and rotating band are unpainted.
