The No. 3 Mk 1 fuze used with these mines. The GS Mk V and GS Mk V HC mines may have either a Mk I or a Mk II pressure spider. A Mk IV pressure cover instead of a pressure spider is used on the GS Mk IV and GS Mk Vc mines. These are antitank (AT), general service (GS), and possibly high content (HC) landmines employed in large tactical minefields or in roadblocks against vehicles and light tanks. They are fuzed with a No. 3 Mk 1 quick action spring loaded fuze.
The mines are painted olive drab with a green band near the top and a red band near the bottom. The nomenclature, assembly contractor mark, and date of assembly are stenciled on the case.
