The rocket motor contains the solid-propellant grain that provides thrust for the rocket. The rocket motor employs a front-shoe barrel assembly and a fin-barrel assembly to permit the rocket to spin while it is on the launcher. Components of the battery and switch assembly are mounted on brackets at the rear of the rocket motor nozzle; the igniter assembly is installed in the after end of the propellant grain.
