Description
This a percussion primed, side fired, fixed cartridge with a high explosive fragmentation (HE frag) spin stabilized projectile; it uses a mechanical time/impact inertia fuze.
The cartridge case is chemically colored black with the lot number painted in white. The projectile body is painted a deep bronzed green; 84 MM HE appears in yellow lettering. The fuze is unpainted; the fuze timing ring is marked from 0 to 12 with an S indicating the safe position.
