Description
The 14 inch AP Mk 16 Mods 1 - 11 are used in 14"/45 and 14"/50 caliber guns. Its overall length, with cap and windshield is 56.00 inches; without cap and windshield is 36.72 inches. The diameter of the base is 13.977 inches and the diameter at the bourrelet is also 13.977 inches. The distance from the base to the band is 3.46 inches. The width of the band is 4.66 inches. The Mod 11 has a slight change in the cap design which moves the windshield threads further forward on the projectile.
