Description
The body of the AN-M7 floating smoke pot is a metal container 12 inches in diameter by 13 inches high. The upper portion of the body is ribbed; the base of the body is slightly tapered to facilitate stacking in storage. An outer cover with a carrying handle attached is fastened to the pot by a ring clamp. A dish-shaped inner cover with a carrying handle attached is fastened to the body by lugs and steel strapping. A fuze adapter in the center of the inner cover provides a seat for the fuze. Three vent holes spaced equally around the fuze adapter provide outlets for the smoke. When the pot is shipped, the vent holes are sealed with adhesive tape, and a plastic plug is screwed into the fuze opening in the adapter.
