Use
Class A PETN is used in detonating fuses and boosters; class B is used in priming compositions; class C is used in the manufacture of pentolite; and class D is used in blasting caps and detonators.
PETN phlegmatized with wax is used as a bursting charge in small caliber Italian and Soviet shells.
