Description
The figure shows the appearance and dimensions of the MJU-23/B flare cartridge. These are airborne pyrotechnic (infrared) countermeasures flare cartridges. The flares are used in the B-1B aircraft expendable countermeasures ejector system. The MJU-23/B flare cartridges are installed in flare dispensers, 12 cartridges per dispenser.
The flare cartridge is unpainted aluminum with markings stenciled in black.
