Description
Bomb body may be steel gray or black. Tail assembly and fuze are aluminum colored.
The body is of one piece light steel construction. It is cylindrical in shape, rounded at the nose and threaded in the base to receive the fuze assembly. The inside of the body is coated with lacquer.
The tail assembly is made of light tinned steel and is secured to the fuze body by four screws. Four fins spaced 90° apart are soldered to the tail cone and are braced by a ring strut at the after end. An arming spindle extends from the fuze up through the tail cone, and has vanes attached at the end. A drogue holds the vanes in a safe position.

Filler is Type 97 (TNT 60%, HND, 40%). Filler weight is 17 oz, 2.34 kg.
